Movie Downloads Provide An Economical Way To Watch Your Favorite Films

Sunday, July 26th, 2009

Have you been looking for a way to get your favorite movies, on the go? Wish you could find an easier way to watch your favorite stars without having to lug around DVDs? A really great way to get your movie fix on is with movie downloads. When you download movies online, you will have full power over when and what you watch while you’re out and about.

There are numerous free movie download sites online. You need to be very careful when you’re searching for movies. There are plenty of sites that offer their services completely free, but these may be pirated copies of movies. This is not only illegal for them to post the movies, if anyone ever wanted to, they could find you guilty, as well. No movie, no matter how great, is worth jail time.

As much as we’d like to all believe that everyone is as pure of heart as we are, this isn’t always the case. Many times, sites are disguised as free download sites but once you open up access between your computer and their network, you’ve become the victim of an internet crime. You can end up with worms, viruses and even identity hijacking if you don’t use a trustworthy place to get your movie downloads.

How can you tell the difference? Ask around, for one thing. Your friends may know about the places to go and the places to avoid. You can also run a search of any internet site through business bureaus that give you the skinny on the companies that are behind the sites. Many companies that offer at home movie DVDs give you instant access to movie downloads on their sties. This is a great way to get all of your entertainment needs met. You can get your favorite movies sent right to your house and you can also get movie downloads for your computer and other portable multimedia devices.

Movie companies know that people can’t afford to go out to the movies like they used to. Far more people are staying in these days than going out. In an effort to win back viewing audiences, many movie companies are offering their movie downloads for next to nothing, online. In many cases, you can go directly to the corporate site of the movie studio and download their films, in their entirety. You’ll also get special bonus features that aren’t even available on DVD.

Sometimes it’s hard to find independent or foreign films in local stores. You can often buy them from online auction sites, but you’re never guaranteed on the quality. Save yourself time and money-get movie downloads of even those hard to find gems, online.

Movie downloads are a great solution for business travelers and people on the go. No longer will you get entertainment in flight on most of the major US airlines. Unless you’re flying transatlantic, you probably won’t get a movie to watch. Find something to do with your time besides count the hairs on the back of the neck of the passenger in the seat in front of you. Take all the movies you want to see with you, without having to lug around a DVD player or movies.

Keeping the kids happy when you’re flying is of utmost importance if you’re hoping to have a peaceful flight. Movie downloads present you with a great opportunity for a little peace and quiet on the plane or in the airport. Sit the kids down with your laptop or favorite multimedia device and push play. The time will pass quickly for the kids and silently for you. Who couldn’t use a little down time when you’re busy traveling across country?

When you want the very best in entertainment, find a good, reliable source for online movie downloads. Get today’s hottest hits, safely and easily, right from your desktop. Go with a well known company and you’ll be watching your favorite stars in no time, anywhere you take your computer.

How Not To Let The Economy Crisis Spoil Your Summer Fun

Wednesday, June 17th, 2009

Summer’s coming…very quickly. Before parents know it, the kids will be out of school and ready to start exploring and getting their share of summer fun. During this economy crisis, many families will need to scale back or be a little more resourceful with how they spend their money to provide their children with a good summer and still make ends meet. For some, it may seem like an impossible task, but really it’s not. Here are 3 tips for families to use to get out while not causing too much of a strain to the family budget:

Medium and large families should always buy a membership to local attractions and museums. If you have more than 3 children, chances are it is never feasible to purchase tickets for a single trip to your local kids museum or playland. Any frugal fashionista can see how their family will benefit from purchasing a membership, which is often offered, instead.

An annual membership to your favorite attractions could save you a considerable amount of money. Most of them do not put a limit on the size of the family that will use them, so whether you have 3 kids or 13 children, your family would be covered. Many of these memberships allow for unlimited daily visits for the duration of the membership, which can be for one or two years. These programs also offer great incentives like free passes for other family or friends, coupons or discounts for other attractions, and free parking passes. Your upfront cost may be $50-150, but after a couple of visits, the membership will eventually pay for itself! Plus, this economy crisis is provoking more organizations to reduce these membership costs even more to get more people to purchase them. This is definitely the time to get it on the deals and your family could spend their summer coming and going to these places when you want.

Research and map out all of the free attractions in your area. Planning is key to having a fabulous time this summer. Gather as much information as you can by visiting the website for your chamber of commerce, local family or parent publications, and “free papers”. These are all great places to look to find out what’s going on in your area. Instead of just planning for a day or two, make a calendar for the entire summer. That way, you always know about the places to go and the things to do, even if your family does not make it to every event.

Do something to help others! During this economy crisis, there are definitely plenty of organizations that need help because of dwindling resources. You and your family could make helping an adventure and it won’t cost you any money. Instead of a donation, get your hands dirty and do something. Have the children decide which types of activities they would be interested in, such as visiting the elderly or working in the garden for a hospice. Then, plan your adventure accordingly.

You and your family may be surprised as what adventures and learning experiences await you when you volunteer at these different organizations. Make the most of the time together by incorporating some other fun component, like riding bikes to the facility, which could help you to save on gas! However or wherever your family decides to have their summer volunteering adventure, it will be a great opportunity to appreciate the things that you do have despite going through this economy crisis.

How To Save On Kids Shoes During An Economy Crisis

Friday, June 12th, 2009

Kids outgrow shoes at an incredibly fast pace. From day to day those little feet are quickly turning into much bigger feet. Regardless of the name brand, most parents know that their child may not get a real “wear” out of the shoes because you just never know when those little toes will stretch out. Even more so in an economy crisis when things are much more expensive. What can a parent do to keep up with the seemingly ever-growing peds of their children? Try these tips for saving. Cost cutting parents will find these extremely helpful during this economy crisis:

Be a frugal fashionista and don’t be afraid to ask! Of course you are not the only person that has a bunch of “barely used” kids shoes that your child has outgrown. Parents that you know are experiencing the same thing. Ask the people that you know about those shoes. You may just luck up and get some of those fancy and name brands that you don’t want to buy, totally free!

Host a shoe swap. This is something that you can do to get the kids involved. They can even send out little invitations, fashioned as shoes of course. Have the families come together and watch as everyone has fun letting their kids try on and swap shoes. The cost of this type of an event, a few bags of chips and a few pitchers of homemade iced tea!

Let the frugal fashionista in your come alive at a thrift or consignment shop. Find loads of shoes that you can buy for cheap at your local thrift or consignment shop. With these deals, you can expect to spend as little as $1 per pair! If you go the consignment route, then, you could actually get the shoes for FREE just by bringing some of your other stuff and selling them to the store for store credit.

Buy shoes after the holidays. Often, stores will have loads and loads of shoes available after Christmas and Easter. Always buy shoes off season. For instance, buy the sandals in the Fall and the boots in the late Winter or early Spring. That’s when the shoes are usually discounted up to 75% off.

If you absolutely must have the shoes, try to buy them when the store offers a Buy One, Get One deal. Then, you can at least get 2 pairs of shoes for the price of 1! Also, look for coupons in your Sunday paper. Many large department stores will offer coupons in their weekly sale circular. These can often be combined with other specials that they may have going on.

3 Fun Strategies For Getting Toys During This Economy Crisis

Saturday, May 23rd, 2009

Kids love to play and as parents, it’s our job to make sure that they have what they need. That includes toys! Of course, kids don’t always have to have the most popular or greatest “so-called” toys out there, but they do need toys for learning, creativity, and of course, lots of great fun. In an economy crisis, buying toys may seem a little wasteful for some, but it doesn’t have to be.

Here are three ways to exchange, buy for cheap, and get for free lots of toys for your growing child:

Host a toy exchange with other parents! This is not only fun, but it’s also one of the best budget saving ways. Save money by not having to pay out lots of cash for toys that your kids will only enjoy for the moment. Other parents know what it’s like to dish out money on pricey toys, only for kids to spend a few minutes enjoying them. With a toy exchange, kids can get the toys that they like without the parents having to pay! During this economy crisis, families need to take advantage of all opportunities for saving, cost-cutting, and spending less.

The set up for a toy trade party is simple. Either use a big open place, like a park, school, or community area that can be used for free. Everyone will tote their toys and, together, the adults will organize all of the games and gadgets. Let the kids use buckets, baskets, or backpacks to hold their “new” stuff. Parents sit back and enjoy watching the kids “shop”.

Set realistic toy budgets and always try to catch the deals. Do your best to avoid paying full retail price for any toys. One of the best ways to buy for cheap is to set yourself a toy budget that will help you to stay on pace, financially, when you are out shopping for toys. Dont’ just think you will find everything at the dollar store. Those toys are not always the “best” buy because they are cheaply made and may not be the safest choice either. Just look for sales and grab those opportunities for saving, cost comparing, and chances to buy for cheap.

After each holiday, such as Christmas and Easter, many stores put toys on sale for up to 60% off of the original retail price. That is the perfect time to buy for cheap for birthdays, family days, and other times when you will need toys. Expect to get great buys for next to nothing during those sale seasons.

The other “must-do” for any frugal fashionista that wants to save on toys is to browse your local thrift store and all of those garage and yard sales. From the gently used to the completely new, you will find toys as cheap as 90% off of the regular retail prices.

Get toys for free! Yes, you can get toys for free. Try going the consignment route! Take some of your gently used stuff to a local consignment shop, where they will give you store credit or cash for your old stuff. Then, you simply take the money or credit and get some more toys either from the consignment shop or by using your cash elsewhere. Thus, your child gets “new” toys completely free!

Tons Of Things For Free

Monday, April 13th, 2009

You’re going to love hearing this…There is a plethora of services and stuff that you can still get without paying one single penny! It’s true. Despite the economy crisis that persists around the world, there are things to be found that are 100% free for those that seek them out. With spending decreasing in most sectors, it has become evident that people are very conscious of where their money goes.

Completely free internet access! While most people are paying $50 or more for internet service, you could be the recipient of free internet service through a company called NetZero. They provide up to 10 hours of 100% free internet service per month. It’s not broad band, it’s the old dial-up system, but it works! This works even better if you are only an occasional user.

2. Free furniture and other stuff! The first place to look for free furniture is in your local newspaper. Often there is a section that is dedicated to items worth $50 or less. These are often just give always that people advertise to clear out space in their homes or after they have graduated from college and no longer need the items. Two other great places to find lots of free stuff online are Craigslist.org and Freecycle. On these websites, people can post anything that they want to give away. Whether you find your great deal in the newspaper or through one of these two internet sites, always remember to be safe. Never go to retrieve anything alone. Plus, remember that time is of the essence and deals go very quickly. So, as soon as you see it, make contact and make plans to pick the item up. This is one time that you should not dawdle.

3. Free meals! If you have a family, you know the value of taking advantage of “free kids meals” or “kids eat free” offers. They do still exist, though not as bounteous as in times past. Search online, keep an eye out for deals in your local newspaper, and always check a restaurant’s website. Another way to get free meals for yourself and your companion is to sign up for restaurant email clubs. If you don’t want the emails coming into your “regular” email account, then set up a “FREE” one, yet another great freebie, through a service like Yahoo, Google, or MSN. Then, use that free one to retrieve all of the free dinner deals that your stomach can handle!

Truth is, life feels better, even in an economy crisis, when you know that you can still get something for nothing! Enjoy!

Spend $0 on Wii games - download wii games

Saturday, April 11th, 2009

Playing every nintendo wii game without paying a cent is every gamer’s dreams. Luckily, its not very far fetched.

Wii download sites have been offering unlimited lifetime download memberships for a very small one time fee. Usually this runs about $49.95. Compare that to the price of the last Wii game you threw your money on.

These wii download sites don’t only chop gaming costs to nothing, they also provide easy access to the amazing features of the Wii.

All different types of wii media are included with a subscription to a wii download site. That includes music, movies, Tv shows and software, all in addition to the games.

The most popular wii download sites post the newest releases for download usually within days, sometimes even hours, of a new release. Since the download times on the best sites are extremely fast, I’m usually the envy of my friends, playing the top game within a few hours of its release.

As a big fan of classics, the oldschool games need to be in there for me to be happy. They’re all there as well, and can be downloaded with the click of a button.

You may have been asking yourself how you will get your wii to play burned games. Install a mod chip? I think not. Mod chips are a thing of the past. These sites give their members all the software and very easy to use step-by-step instructions to be able to play burned wii games. Its all software so you won’t need to take a screwdriver or hammer to crack open your beloved wii. And don’t worry, its not complicated.

With all the Wii download sites out there right now, its important to research the product you plan to buy. There are sites which focus mostly on wii media. In my opinion, media is just a bonus, so make sure to find a good site that has a huge game archive and fast download times. For more information about the most popular wii download sites, this Wii download review might be good to check out.

How? Wii game downloads.

There are now wii game download websites that are all over the internet now. In addition to being able to download the hottest wii games, the older wii games can also be downloaded. They typically charge a very small price for a subscription. After that, all downloads for life are free! How much? The top wii game download sites charge about $49 for a lifetime subscription, or $39 for a year membership. I know, its less than you wasted on your last wii game.

Now don’t start kicking yourself thinking you’ve already spent $200 on games. Reading this article has already saved you your future $200 that you’d be spending.

These wii game download services don’t usually just offer wii games. They also provide access to their wii movie, tv show, music and software database. All the media you need for your wii.

No mod chips are even needed to be able to play the games from these wii game downloads sites. Wii games can be up and running in no time with the software that the wii game downloads sites provide. They even provide really easy step by step instructions.

Look out when you’re making your decision on which site to subscribe to though. Some sites charge for wii game downloads on a per download basis. I’m personally not a fan of those since I love the ability to download the newest games and test them out. So do your research and find the best site for yourself. To help, take a peak at this wii game downloads site review.

Saving On Birthday Parties

Wednesday, April 8th, 2009

by Alexandra Vrugt

Birthdays are wonderful family times that can give you years of fabulous memories. But, planning a party can take a lot of effort and money. Many families want to have a fantastic event but simply cannot afford to spend massive amounts of money to make it happen. With a little prep work and creativity you can give that special person the party of a lifetime without taking a lifetime to pay it off. Here’s how:

Invitations - Use items that you have around the house to make unique invitations. A simple index card can be transformed into car, flower, or any jungle friend with the use of scissors, markers, or crayons. They are a very low cost alternative, if you have them handy, and because they have lines, you can write all of the party details neatly on the back! You can also use old magazines and cut out pictures, words, and letters from them to create a message on each invitation. One of the great things about these type of invitations is that you can make the “extra special” and personalized for the recipients. Another low cost alternative include buying cheap invitations from a dollar or discount store. However, the two cheapest ways to invite your guests is with a phone call or email. There are tons of free email invitation templates online!

Goodie bags - Buy all of your candy and party treats such as stickers and little toys after the major holidays to get the biggest savings. There is usually an abundance of candy available after Halloween, Christmas, and Easter, most of which comes individually packaged and has a shelf life of a year or more. The best part of buying these goodies after the holidays is that they are usually discounted upwards of 75-90% off of the regular retail price.

Party decorations and supplies - Canvas the party store for items that they are either discontinuing or that are “out of season”, such as Hawaiian themed items during the fall months. Either go with a theme or a color based on what is available and build your party decor around it. If your child’s favorite character wears a green costume, get everything green that they have after Christmas or St. Patrick’s Day, mix and match, and only spend money on one or two “character” pieces. Your child will be happy to see his or her favorite character, but will not even think twice about why their character is not only “everything”. However, if you must make the character more visible, buy the cheapest stickers available and place them all over the place.

Food - Cheap finger foods such as hotdogs and chips are great for kids. Also, keep an eye out for coupons for a national pizza shop such as Domino’s or Pizza Hut, which can greatly reduce the cost of purchasing pizza. Another alternative to store bought pizza is to either use frozen pizzas which can be bought for individuals or cut to feed a couple of children, or let the kids make the pizza themselves with you buying the supplies with coupons from your local grocery store.

5. Place - Renting a facility for a party can be a very pricey endeavor, but just popping up with a group of kids doesn’t have to be. One way to save is to sign up for member discounts with places that you may want to take a group of kids to celebrate. One option is your local movie theatre, which may offer discounts for members of their email club or may even provide coupons in the weekly newspaper. Another option is to encourage other parents to look out for discounts and then all of you can pool your resources and save a ton of money! For a fun gathering place, try a community center or swimming facility that offers space for free or a nominal fee, which may be less than $10 per hour.

There are so many ways to save and still have a blast. Planning, creativity, and utilizing as many free resources as possible can make your event a huge success despite the frugal price tag!

Car Savings

Wednesday, April 8th, 2009

by Alexandra Vrugt

Having the freedom to go where you want is great. Having a car to get you there is even better; thus, solidifying our love for our wheels. That being said, a car can be an expensive acquisition. From the first dealer “fees” to the monthly maintenance or car note, when a car is involved, you can expect to shell out plenty of money. But, it doesn’t have to be that way! Believe or not, you could actually save money from the moment that you buy your car to the amount that you pay for its monthly upkeep. Here’s how…

Dealer Deals - Every year, there is a point when the “old” cars (usually those of the current year) are replaced with the “new” cars (the cars with the next year’s date on them). Dealers all over will try to empty their lots of that current year’s models, and are usually prepared to offer some great savings. Another way to save with the dealers is to consider getting a vehicle in which it is recently off lease. These cars usually have a manageable amount of miles and can be had for bargain prices. If you have a car to trade, don’t offer that immediately. Get the lowest possible price from the dealer, and then tell them about the trade. Additionally, always keep their sales literature to back up any offers that you want to take advantage of also.

Get it free! This is not a joke. Families sometimes go through extreme financial difficulties, which could make owning a car seem virtually impossible. There are many social service organizations that provide cars, totally free of charge, to families and individuals with a serious need. These are often cars that are 4-7 years old that people have donated for a number of reasons, including getting a newer model or maybe their own family situation changed. Their generosity is your gain. If you life fits the mold, don’t let this opportunity pass you by. It could be a real godsend for your family.

Monthly Maintenance Savings - Every week, your local Sunday newspaper most likely holds several circulars and packets of coupons. There may be money saving information on every thing from the cheapest priced oil and antifreeze to deeply discounted maintenance services for your vehicle. Search out the sales and stock up. Use the coupons when it’s time for those oil changes, winterizing treatments, and other basics that can sometimes be costly. \\

Get AAA! For less than $40 for the year, your vehicle could be covered and protected during some of life’s most trying times. From changing a flat tire to free vehicle towing, the cost of not having AAA will far outweigh the cost of its yearly subscription if an emergency catches you without this great service. You could luck up further if you are targeted by their marketing efforts. They offer fantastic deals including a yearly member ship for less than $20 and additional months of coverage for FREE! It doesn’t get much better than that.

The key to saving some cash when it comes to your car is to search out the sales and seize discount opportunities when they arise. The benefits of these tips will be long term and greatly appreciated when you see the money that you save quickly adding up in your wallet!
